What is my carry-on baggage allowance?
Under Seat Stowage:
No more than two (2) pieces which when combined do not exceed 23cm x 41cm x 57cm (9" x 16" x 22.5").
Overhead Bin Stowage:
One of the following items per passenger may be stowed in the overhead bins.
- One (1) soft-sided, single suit garment bag which, when folded in half does not exceed: 23cm x 41cm x 57cm (9" x 16" x 22.5")
- One (1) briefcase not exceeding 11 cm (4.5") in thickness
- One (1) laptop not exceeding 11 cm (4.5") in thickness
- One (1) purse not exceeding 11cm (4.5") in thickness
- No single piece should exceed 10 kg (22lbs.)
- An overcoat
- An umbrella or walking stick
- A reasonable amount of reading material for use in-flight
- An approved infant restraint device
- Infant food for consumption in flight
- A small camera or pair of binoculars
- A prosthetic device
What is my checked baggage allowance?
Canadian North allows 2 pieces of checked luggage per customer as a free baggage allowance. Each of those 2 pieces must conform to the following:
Maximum Weight – 70 lbs (32 kg) each
Maximum Size – 62" (158 cm) each (the sum of the height, width and depth)
Exceptions:
- Duffel/B4 bag, up to 80" (203 cm), will be permitted in lieu of 2 pieces of regular checked baggage
- If any single piece of luggage is over 100 lbs (45 kg) or if its size is over 115" (292 cm), it will not be accepted for carriage as checked baggage, please make arrangements to ship through your local Canadian North cargo office by calling 1-800-663-2223
- Children will receive the same free allowance as adults regardless of fare type. Infants traveling without a ticket will only be allowed 1 piece. Customers traveling with an infant will be allowed a collapsible stroller or other baby carrier or device in addition to the allotted free allowance.
