The past several years have brought tremendous growth and investment into the Fort McMurray Athabasca oil-sands region.

This self-guided tour will depart on a commercial airline from Calgary or Edmonton to Fort McMurray. From here you will visit the Oil Sands Discovery Centre where you will learn about the history and how the oil sands function. Then you will visit a live oil sands site on a guided tour  bus through the Suncor Energy facility.  A professionally trained tour guide is provided by Fort McMurray Tourism.
